The amazing nation of Israel. A tiny nation located in the navel of the earth. Its people the most hated and abused in the whole world. Slaughtered, exiled, enslaved, banned and yet they amazingly survive. During World War II a German madman named Adolf Hitler murdered 6 million of them – a number representing ½ of all the Jews living in Europe at that time. The United Nations, through a resolution, granted land, mostly unliveable deserts, to the Jews. For 2000 years the Jews did not have their own land and they were scattered all over the face of the earth. On May 14 1948, because of what Hitler did, the Jews declared themselves a sovereign state. Immediately, surrounding Arab nations declared war on the Jews. 600,000 ill-equipped Jews without heavy artillery, tanks, and airplanes locked in fierce battle with 45 million Arabs equipped with all the hardwares of war. When the dust and smoke cleared Israel was still standing. A case of David and Goliath all over again. After the war Israel had more land than what it started out with. Bent on Israel’s total destruction the Arab nations planned and executed more wars. The Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, etc. In every instance Israel triumphed.

Why can’t Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, etc., large and well-equipped as they are, defeat this little nation? Why can’t they prevail? There is only one and only one explanation: Israel is God’s nation and He fights their battles for them. nsl
